Described as the "bible of technical analysis", Technical Analysis of Financial Markets features new material on "candlestick charting, inter-market relationships, stocks and stock rotation, plus state-of-the-art examples and figures".
We felt that the methods were timeless and the book expertly presents clear examples and graphics that traders can use as a reference book, if they wish, whilst trading the markets.
John J. Murphy's book has a current 4.6 star rating from 250 customer reviews and we think it is, quite possibly, the most comprehensive book to be found on technical analysis. Although it won't give you a definite strategy on when to enter and exit the markets, it will give you a fantastic grounding in technical analysis from which you can build a well founded Forex Trading Strategy.
We do agree with some reviews that the content can sometimes be heavy and, in places, the wording and concepts can be difficult to grasp, especially if you are new to Fx Trading or new to the concept. However, Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets does the best job we have seen of simplifying an extremely complicated and in-depth subject and, if you are serious about building your Fx Trading business, then you are going to have to put in the hard work to understand this subject - the starting point to that being buying a copy of this book!
Although the book may initially seem costly, the depth and level of understanding of technical analysis that the content of the book will provide you will pay dividends via boosting your Fx Trading success!
We recommend this book to anyone entering the Forex Trading world but, due to the in-depth nature and complexity of the content, it will take a basic understanding of the markets to fully grasp the concepts. It is, therefore, not the best book for complete beginners.
With that in mind, if you have already started out and don't have a copy of this book already - then get one now!
